We had a great band this year and I am truly thankful for the participation from Arty Hill (Maryland) on Lead Guitar, Jeremy Drawbaugh (Alabama) on Steel, Susanne Woolley (Oklahoma) on Fiddle, Vinny D’Amico (Georgia) on acoustic, Deb Berlinger (Florida) on drums and Mark Patton (Florida) on Upright Bass.
Some of our featured artists (Arty Hill, Vinny D’Amico & Mark Patton) were in Hank’s Band but we had a great line-up of guests. Karen Collins from Baltimore is a Sweetheart with one of the most soulful voices you will ever hear! Mary McDonald from Stonewall, Oklahoma was on the show and she too, has a wonderful voice. Mary Battiata is from Maryland and her first time here! Beth Cooper, from Montgomery but has a personality as big as Texas. Another Montgomery native is Andy Norman! Andy is probably one of the best male vocalists and musicians in the business. Andy has one of those exceptional voices whether he’s doing Hank, Elvis, Merle or even Frank Sinatra! Others on the program and always a crowd pleaser included; Karo, Tyler Jones, Pete Loper, Brad Magness and Tammy Sue, Gaynell Moore, The Sheppard Family, John Andrew Schuffert, Angie Blackwell, and TJ Bohannon. Jeff Petty handled the MC duties as well as entertaining the crowd with his vocals! Jeff does a great job – one of the true “Honky-Tonk Singers”.
Inspiring, loving, friends who have touched our lives in more ways than we can count, Woodie and Becky Hill from Maysville, Oklahoma were on hand to organize the music program. These two give so much of themselves without asking anything in return. No words can express what their friendship and support of the Hank Williams Museum has meant to us. Thank you!
Thank you to ALL involved in the festivities this year.
