Hank 101 by Troy Gagne

Class is in session so take your seat

Turn the volume up, play that vinyl on repeat

and take in a little Hank 101

Moanin' the Blues just a guitar in his hand

a  lonesome lovesick ramblin' man.

A way with words for the common folks

Honky Tonkin' good time friends tellin' jokes

But wait for that Luke the Drifter recitation

another side that deserves appreciation

If that don't tear your world apart

you might just have a cold cold heart

Just a small lesson to ignite

the joy I found when I saw the light

In each and every word and rhyme,

every word still stands the test of time

So, ramble on down yourself to see

just off I-65 in Montgomery

The Museum and Hank's Cadillac

that's where all my friends are coming back

to Celebrate Hank's 101
